A proven performer both over the distance and the Queensland way of going, Arabian Gold has opened as and maintained status as outright favourite in 2015 Hollindale Stakes betting markets; currently available at a quote of $4.60 for success with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

Posting nine wins and a further four minor place finishes through her 23 career starts so far, Arabian Gold undoubtedly found career-best form to date through the 2014 autumn and winter; winning each of the Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes (2000m), Group 3 Frank Packer Plate (2000m) and Group 2 The Roses (2000m) on her way to a close second in the Group 1 Queensland Oaks (2400m).

Having returned in spring for a first-up win in the Group 3 Golden Pendant (1400m) most notably, the Daughter of Dubawi has placed sixth in each of the Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m) and Group 1 Doncaster Mile (1600m) most recently and is sure to relish a step-up to 2000m this weekend.

While yet to herald much interest from punters in 2015 Hollindale Stakes betting markets, Kiwi raider Silent Achiever has maintained her position as sole occupant of the second line and can currently be taken at generous $5 odds.

A four-time Group 1 winner, Silent Achiever was one of the standout performers of the 2014 autumn; winning the Group 1 New Zealand Stakes (2000m) before crossing the ditch for consecutive wins in the Group 1 Ranvet Stakes (2000m) and Group 1 The BMW (2400m).

Placing third in the Cox Plate (2040m) most notably through spring, the O’reilly mare has steadily built to the task over her four starts this time in and is reportedly in campaign-best condition leading into Saturday’s Gold Coast feature race.

Pornichet is not yet assured a start in the 2015 Hollindale Stakes; ranked as third emergency behind Leebaz ($8) and Wish Come True ($31), but is currently tied on the third line of betting with Hooked at a quote of $6.50.

Beginning his racing career aboard in his native France before transferring to the care of Gai Waterhouse partway through the 2014 Spring Carnival, Pornichet immediately stamped his claims as one to watch; running fourth in the Group 3 Yellowglen Stakes (1400m) before taking out the Group 3 Sandown Stakes (1500m) at a jog a fortnight later.

Having won the Group 3 Doncaster Prelude (1500m) before boxing on for a credible fifth in the rain-soaked Doncaster Mile, the Vespone entire will be very hard to beat should he gain entry to the Hollindale Stakes.

Hooked failed to match the late pace when thirteenth in the Doncaster Mile last time out but is sure to lay a great account for himself in the Hollindale Stakes should he find a dry track.

Allocated the ideal barrier 2, the Casino Prince entire is sure to be boosted by the confirmation leading jockey Hugh Bowman will take the ride.
