This Saturday, the idyllically located Gold Coast Racecourse will be host to the opening day of the Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival, the Hollindale Stakes Day.
Eight fantastic races form the day, with the headlining $300,000 Group 2 A.D. Hollindale Stakes Weight For Age (1800m) attracting 21 nominations.
Gold Water is another entrant coming into the 2010 Hollindale Stakes on good form.
One to watch for the lead up race to the main carnival is the Chris Waller-trained Metal Bender. The four-year-old will look to do well at the carnival this year, and set his form high in Saturday’s race.
Road To Rock is another strong contender having won the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick during the classy Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival.
Trained by Gai Waterhouse, Gold Water is another entrant coming into the 2010 Hollindale Stakes on good form. The four-year-old recently finished second in the Emancipation Stakes (1600) and the Group 1 Coolmore Classic in March.
Also taking place on Saturday at the Gold Coast Racecourse will be the Group 3 Gold Coast Guineas (1200m), and some other great Listed races.
